Charlotte Motor Speedway
In October 2025, 49ers Racing EV was given the opportunity to spend the day at Charlotte Motor Speedway testing the BATTmobile Mk. 1. This day allowed the team to test our reconfigured battery pack and new suspension sensor package. The BATTmobile was able to be pushed to its limits around the track with high-speed corners and even faster straights.
Gold Rush ‘25
At the beginning of each school year, UNC Charlotte holds a Student Org Showcase to mark the start of Gold Rush, the university's welcome program lasting 49 days.
Gold Rush is one of our largest outreach events, allowing us to interact with new and returning students and recruit new members. Students are able to gain information about FSAE and 49ers Racing EV, along with sub-teams and meeting times for those interested.
Niner Nation gives
Niner Nation Gives is a 49-hour fundraising initiative at UNC Charlotte that celebrates the spirit of generosity while supporting student organizations in achieving their goals. As part of this event, we had the opportunity to table and engage directly with students, faculty, and members of the broader university community. This allowed us to raise awareness about the 49ers Racing EV team, highlight our work in the Formula SAE electric vehicle program, and share the impact of our engineering efforts.
Through these interactions, we were able to connect with potential supporters, promote the mission of our club, and secure donations that directly contribute to the design, development, and competition of our electric race car.
2025 FSAE EV competiton
In June, the team travelled to Michigan International Speedway for 49ers Racing EV’s third Formula SAE competition. The week provided an incredible opportunity to showcase our engineering concepts to industry judges and gain critical feedback during the Design and Cost events.
A special thanks to the ‘24-’25 senior design team. Your dedication gave us a strong platform and a solid foundation for the future!
